In 2022, Yassin revealed that he had obtained citizenship from Saint Kitts and Nevis, making him a dual citizen and holder of its passport. This enabled him to enter countries that would have denied entry to holders of an Israeli passport, including Malaysia, which does not recognise Israel. That year, he visited Malacca as part of his vlogging activities.<ref name="Today">{{Cite web |url=https://www.todayonline.com/world/nas-daily-vlogger-came-malaysia-st-kitts-passport-authorities-say-2024456 |title='Nas Daily' vlogger came to Malaysia on St Kitts passport, authorities say |date=20 October 2022 |website=Today}}</ref> In 2025, he travelled to Malaysia again, this time Johor.<ref>{{Cite web |title=M'sia MP sounds alarm on Nas Daily's visit to Johor despite passport ban on Israeli nationals |url=https://mothership.sg/2025/10/malaysia-mp-nas-daily-visit-johor/ |access-date=27 January 2026 |website=mothership.sg}}</ref>

== Controversy == According to Dina Rezk in ''The Conversation'', Yassin's viewpoints originate from a place of privilege as a Palestinian residing in Israel. His central message framed the conflict as involving responsibility on both sides. Rezk argues that Yassin's perspectives do not fully account for the political and military imbalance between Israel and Palestine.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Nas Daily: Palestinian blogger delivers upbeat message to millions – but he can afford to |url=http://theconversation.com/nas-daily-palestinian-blogger-delivers-upbeat-message-to-millions-but-he-can-afford-to-106828 |website=The Conversation |date=4 January 2019 |access-date=28 January 2026 |language=en-US |first=Dina |last=Rezk}}</ref><ref>{{Cite news |title=Nas Daily: Normalising Israel a minute at a time |url=https://www.middleeasteye.net/opinion/nas-daily-normalising-israel-minute-time |work=Middle East Eye |access-date=30 January 2026 |language=en |date=29 June 2018 |last=Fernandez |first=Belen}}</ref>

In October 2022, some Palestinians criticized a video in which Yassin addressed his position on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, acknowledged violence and suffering on "both sides," and called for people to come together. Other Palestinian content creators felt the video was 'simplistic'. Subhi Taha said "it's not fair to clump" this conflict with others and Palestinian political analyst Omar Baddar said that the video was missing the "sense of the overwhelming disparity in the scale of suffering and violence" and the reason for the violence, "the political injustice."<ref>{{Cite news |last=The New Arab Staff |title=Nas Daily slammed for 'both sides' take on Israel-Palestine |url=https://www.newarab.com/news/nas-daily-slammed-both-sides-take-israel-palestine |url-status=live |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20250117160332/https://www.newarab.com/news/nas-daily-slammed-both-sides-take-israel-palestine |archive-date=17 January 2025 |access-date=2025-03-07 |work=The New Arab |language=en-EN}}</ref><ref>{{Cite news |title=Israeli-Arab vlogger 'Nas Daily' voices support for two-state solution |url=https://www.jpost.com/arab-israeli-conflict/article-719140 |work=The Jerusalem Post |date=2022-10-07 |access-date=2026-01-30 |language=en}}</ref>

In May 2025, Yassin received an honorary doctorate from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev for his advocacy for Israel, and advocacy for the coexistence of Arabs in Israel.<ref>{{Cite news |last=Margulies |first=Joanie |date=2025-05-20 |title=Nas Daily calls for coexistence and AI tools to combat antisemitism |url=https://www.jpost.com/conferences/article-854753 |access-date=2026-01-28 |work=The Jerusalem Post |language=en}}</ref>

In an interview on LBC with Tom Swarbrick on 30 November 2025, Yassin stated that the worst thing for a Palestinian is not Israel but Hamas, and referred to Hamas as "terrorists". He also dismissed allegations of apartheid in Israel, saying that it "is not like South Africa", and called the term "Gaza genocide" as "a very emotional, non-scientific word".<ref>{{cite news |title=Nas Daily claims biggest threat facing Palestinians is 'fellow countrymen' in bizarre rant on LBC |url=https://www.middleeasteye.net/trending/nas-daily-sparks-outrage-saying-palestinians-biggest-threat-themselves |work=Middle East Eye |date=2 December 2025 |last=El-Khaldi |first=Ayah |access-date=3 December 2025}}</ref><ref>{{cite news |last=Zbeedat |first=Nagham |date=4 December 2025 |title=Palestinian Vlogger Nas Daily Draws Backlash After Saying 'Worst Thing' for Palestinians Is Their Own People |url=https://www.haaretz.com/gaza/2025-12-04/ty-article/.premium/nas-daily-draws-backlash-after-saying-worst-thing-for-palestinians-is-their-own-people/0000019a-e95f-dac6-a1ff-fbff99350000 |work=Haaretz}}</ref> Yassin has made similar statements previously at other engagements.<ref name="TOI-2024"/>
