Nikabad (Persian: نیکآباد)[a] is a city in the Central District[b] of Jarqavieh County, Isfahan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county[7] and the district.[8] It is also the administrative center for Jarqavieh Vosta Rural District.[4]

Language
The town is Persian-speaking.[9]
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 4,164 in 1,156 households,[10] when it was in Jarqavieh Sofla District[c] of Isfahan County. The following census in 2011 counted 4,303 people in 1,327 households.[11] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 4,364 people in 1,442 households.[3]
In 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jarqavieh County and renamed the Central District.[7]
Notable people
Prominent Iranian cleric brothers Hassan Sanei and Yousef Saanei are from Nikabad.[citation needed]
