==Demographics== As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 1,571 people, 566 households, and 476 families residing in the town. The [[population density]] was 43.2 people per square mile (16.7/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 578 housing units at an average density of 15.9 per square mile (6.1/km<sup>2</sup>). The racial makeup of the town was 98.41% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.13% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.13% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.32% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 1.02% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 1.02% of the population.
