==Geography== Montepaone sits on the Italian Ionian sea in the Gulf of Squillace. [[Soverato]], [[Gasperina]], [[Montauro]] and Caminia (Staletti) are nearby towns.

==Economy== Montepaone is highly reliant on seasonal tourism both from [[Italian-Americans]] visiting family in the region and from Northern Italians.
