'''Mont Revard''' ({{IPA|fr|mɔ̃ ʁəvaʁ}},) is a mountain in the [[Bauges Massif]] near [[Aix-les-Bains]] in [[Savoie]], [[France]] with an elevation of 1,562&nbsp;m (5,125&nbsp;ft). The mountain is crossed by the D913 road between the villages of [[Saint-Jean-d'Arvey]] and [[Pugny-Chatenod]] near [[Aix-les-Bains]]. ==Details of the climb== In 2013, the climb used by the Tour de France commenced at [[Saint-Jean-d'Arvey]] and climbs {{convert|866|m|0|abbr=on}} in {{convert|15.9|km|1|abbr=on}} at an average gradient of 5.6%, and was ranked a Category 1 climb.<ref name=TDF20/>

== Caving == The [[limestone]] [[plateau]] is conducive to [[karst]] formations. Some [[Pit cave|pit caves]] (called 'tannes') are connected to underground networks such as the Garde-Cavale network, accessible from the Trou du Garde and the Creux de la Cavale.<ref>{{Cite web|title=Réseau souterrain du Garde-Cavale|url= http://cds73.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/TraverseeGardeCavale.pdf|access-date=2017-04-06}}</ref> More than 50&nbsp;km of this network has been explored. ==Tour de France== The mountain was included in the route of the [[1991 Tour de France]]<ref name=ledicodutour/> and again in [[1998 Tour de France|1998]], however the latter stage was cancelled in the wake of the 1998 [[Festina affair]].<ref name=ledicodutour/>

In [[1965 Tour de France|1965]] and [[1972 Tour de France|1972]], the ski resort of Le Revard was used as a stage finish, with the finishing line being situated at {{convert|1500|m|0|abbr=on}}.
