He replaced [[Babar Azam]] as captain of Peshawar Zalmi on 29 December 2025 for the [[2026 Pakistan Super League|2026 PSL]].

Known for his aggressive batting style, and nicknamed "Mr. [[Google]]" for his curiosity and knowledge during his Under-19 days, he has been compared to former Pakistan international [[Mohammad Yousuf (cricketer)|Mohammad Yousuf]] for the similarity in their batting techniques.<ref name=":0" />
