The '''Miss Gambia''' is a national beauty pageant in The Gambia. The pageant aims to be a cultural ambassador of The Gambia.

==History== The Miss Gambia beauty pageant aims to be the platform of young women in Gambia as ambassador of goodwill for the country. In 2001 the annual Miss Gambia had not been organized due to myriad reasons including financial, organizational and logistical problems.<ref>{{cite news|title=Miss Gambia Pageant|publisher=observer.gm|url=http://observer.gm/miss-gambia-beauty-pageant/|access-date=8 July 2015}}</ref> Miss Gambia winners also had experience in [[Miss Universe]] or [[Miss World]] history.

In 2022, a new organization under Ida Saine Conteh took over the Miss Gambia beauty pageant.<ref>{{cite news|title=Miss Gambia 2022|publisher=gambia.com|url=https://www.gambia.com/miss-gambia-pageant-must-not-be-used-as-a-vehicle-to-sexually-exploit-women-and-girls-hon-bah-cautions/|access-date=25 November 2022}}</ref><ref>{{cite news|title=Minister Bah Flags-Up Miss Gambia Beauty Pageant, Presides On Signing Tripartite Agreement|publisher=voicegambia.com|url=https://www.voicegambia.com/2022/06/13/minister-bah-flags-up-miss-gambia-beauty-pageant-presides-on-signing-tripartite-agreement/|access-date=25 November 2022}}</ref> The organization's plan is for The Gambia to return to the Miss Universe competition.<ref>{{cite news|title=Miss Gambia contest to be held after 20 years|publisher=thepoint.gm|url=https://thepoint.gm/arts-and-culture/miss-gambia-contest-to-be-held-after-20-years|access-date=29 December 2022}}</ref>
