The codex contains the text of the four Gospels on 331 paper leaves (size {{×|25.1|16.6}}), with only one lacuna (John 21:3-25).<ref name = Aland/><ref name = Gregory>{{Cite book | last = Gregory | first = Caspar René | author-link = Caspar René Gregory | title = Textkritik des Neuen Testaments, Vol. 1 | year = 1900 | location = Leipzig | page = 217 | url = https://archive.org/stream/textkritikdesne00greggoog#page/n229/mode/2up }}</ref>

The text is written in one column per page, 32 lines per page.<ref name = Aland/>

The text is divided according to the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (''chapters''), whose numbers are given at the margin, with their {{lang|grc|τιτλοι}} (''titles'') at the top of the pages. There is no another division according to the smaller Ammonian Sections (with references to the Eusebian Canons).<ref name = Gregory/>

It contains Prolegomena and tables of the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (''tables of contents'') before each Gospel. It has a commentary of Zigabenus.<ref name = Gregory/>

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. It lacks the Pericope Adulterae (John 7:53-8:11).<ref name = Gregory/>

Scrivener and Gregory dated the manuscript to the 14th century.<ref name = Gregory/> The manuscript is currently dated by the INTF to the 14th century.<ref name="INTF"/>

The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scrivener (748) and Gregory (730). It was examined and described by Paulin Martin.<ref>Jean-Pierre-Paul Martin, ''Description technique des manuscrits grecs, relatif au N. T., conservé dans les bibliothèques des Paris'' (Paris 1883), p. 96</ref> Gregory saw the manuscript in 1885.<ref name = Gregory/>

The manuscript is now housed at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Gr. 183) in Paris.<ref name = Aland/><ref name = INTF/>
