The codex contains the complete text of the four Gospels on 213 parchment leaves (size {{×|11.8|8.5}}). It is written in one column per page, 22-23 lines per page.<ref name = Aland/> The tables of the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (''tables of contents'') are placed before each Gospel, but there are no numbers of the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (''chapters'') and their {{lang|grc|τιτλοι}} (''titles of chapters'').<ref name = Gregory/><ref name = Scrivener>{{Cite book | last = Scrivener | first = Frederick Henry Ambrose | author-link = Frederick Henry Ambrose Scrivener |author2=Edward Miller | title = A Plain Introduction to the Criticism of the New Testament | publisher = George Bell & Sons | year = 1894 | location = London | edition = 4 | volume = 1 | page = 248 }}</ref>

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. == History ==
In 1727 the manuscript came from Constantinople to England and was presented to archbishop of Canterbury, William Wake, together with the manuscripts 73, 74, 506-519. Wake presented it to Christ Church in Oxford.<ref>{{cite book | last = Gregory | first = Caspar René | author-link = Caspar René Gregory | title = Textkritik des Neuen Testaments | publisher = Hinrichs | year = 1900 | location = Leipzig | volume = 1 | page = 197 }}</ref>
The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament minuscule manuscripts by F. H. A. Scrivener (506) and C. R. Gregory (520).<ref name = Scrivener/> Gregory saw it in 1883.<ref name = Gregory/>
It is currently housed at Christ Church (Wake 40) in Oxford.<ref name = Aland/>
