The codex contains the text of the four Gospels on 241 parchment leaves (size {{×|19.5|15}})<ref name = Aland/> with one lacuna in Matthew 5:21-8:24. The text is divided according to the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (''chapters''), whose numbers are given at the margin, and their {{lang|grc|τιτλοι}} (''titles of chapters'') at the top of the pages. There is also another division according to the smaller Ammonian Sections (Mark 241 – 16:20), (no references to the Eusebian Canons).<ref name = Gregory/>
It contains tables of the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (''tables of contents'') before each Gospel, lectionary markings at the margin (for liturgical use), incipits, Synaxarion, Menologion, and subscriptions at the end of each Gospel.<ref name = Gregory/>

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type.
