==Early life and education== Bodker was born in Suffern, New York, moved to the Metro-Atlanta area when he was five-years-old, and graduated from Lakeside High School. He then attended the University of Georgia where he earned a BBA in Accounting and was a member of the Delta Rho chapter of the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity.<ref name=MB/>

==Career as mayor== Bodker became the first mayor of the newly created city of Johns Creek after running unopposed in the November 2006 election.
