== Controversies ==

DelGiorno saw controversy while in Tulsa, Oklahoma. An outspoken critic of gambling and Indian casinos, DelGiorno was banned from two separate Indian casinos based upon allegations of inappropriate conduct. DelGiorno admitted on the air that he had been gambling but never admitted to the allegations of misconduct.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2006-08-27 |title=tulsaworld.com: News |url=http://www.tulsaworld.com/NewsStory.asp?ID=060822_Ne_A9_Radio35171 |access-date=2023-11-08 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20060827031046/http://www.tulsaworld.com/NewsStory.asp?ID=060822_Ne_A9_Radio35171 |archive-date=2006-08-27 }}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |date=2006-02-21 |title=Tulsa Today - DelGiorno Delusions Part One |url=http://www.tulsatoday.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=768&Itemid=2 |access-date=2023-11-08 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20060221062801/http://www.tulsatoday.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=768&Itemid=2 |archive-date=2006-02-21 }}</ref>

Additionally, DelGiorno was sued for defamation by Tulsa City Councilor Bill Christiansen over remarks made on the air about Christiansen's business practices. The suit was settled before trial. Terms of the settlement were confidential, but DelGiorno's former radio station, KFAQ, was required to run a retraction and apologize for DelGiorno's remarks, which the station admitted were not true.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2007-12-21 |title=Tulsa World: Radio station retracts remarks |url=http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?articleID=071220_1_A17_hKFAQ60381 |access-date=2023-11-08 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20071221140136/http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article.aspx?articleID=071220_1_A17_hKFAQ60381 |archive-date=2007-12-21 }}</ref>

In 2016, DelGiorno played a role in a controversy involving Williamson County School Board member Susan Curlee. The controversy stemmed from Curlee's alleged mishandling of information related to a bullying incident concerning a minor student, identified as John Doe. DelGiorno discussed this incident on his radio show after receiving and then reading a leaked email from the superintendent, which was meant to remain confidential. This action potentially compromised the board's legal position and raised concerns about privacy violations. Curlee resigned in August 2016.<ref>{{Cite web |date=2023-11-07 |title=Williamson County Board of Education, board member implicated in draft federal complaint {{!}} News {{!}} williamsonherald.com |url=https://www.williamsonherald.com/news/williamson-county-board-of-education-board-member-implicated-in-draft-federal-complaint/article_27ce7f8a-0e19-11e6-8a57-5fc715b7ee9c.html |access-date=2023-11-08 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20231107231613/https://www.williamsonherald.com/news/williamson-county-board-of-education-board-member-implicated-in-draft-federal-complaint/article_27ce7f8a-0e19-11e6-8a57-5fc715b7ee9c.html |archive-date=2023-11-07 }}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |date=2023-11-07 |title=Curlee officially resigns from county school board's 12th District seat {{!}} News {{!}} williamsonherald.com |url=https://www.williamsonherald.com/news/curlee-officially-resigns-from-county-school-boards-12th-district-seat/article_8037f488-6b0e-11e6-971b-af365f2c14d8.html |access-date=2023-11-08 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20231107231425/https://www.williamsonherald.com/news/curlee-officially-resigns-from-county-school-boards-12th-district-seat/article_8037f488-6b0e-11e6-971b-af365f2c14d8.html |archive-date=2023-11-07 }}</ref>
