== Course == The Mati river originates at the confluence of the Levaya Mati and Pravaya Mati mountain rivers in the northern Dzhugdzhur mountain slopes. ===Tributaries=== The main tributaries of the Mati are the {{convert|34|km|mi}} long Mira and the {{convert|29|km|mi}} long Kostyor from the left, as well as the {{convert|50|km|mi}} long Malinovaya (Machekha), the {{convert|44|km|mi}} long Cheryomukhovaya (Khusharin) and the {{convert|35|km|mi}} long Birandya from the right.
