== Biography == Uribe is born in Argentina. He received his B.A. from National University of Córdoba, M.A. from University of CEMA in Buenos Aires, and received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 1994.<ref name=":0">{{Cite web |title=NBER Profile: Martin Uribe |url=https://www.nber.org/reporter/summer05/nber-profile-martin-uribe |access-date=2022-05-17 |website=NBER |language=en}}</ref> Uribe joined the Duke University faculty in 2003 after spending five years at the University of Pennsylvania and four years at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.<ref>{{Cite web |title=New Hires Expand Economics' International Profile |url=https://today.duke.edu/2004/01/economics_0104.html |access-date=2022-05-17 |website=today.duke.edu |date=23 January 2004 |language=en}}</ref> He moved to Columbia University in 2008.
