He won the club's ''Young Player of the Year Award'' for the season, but made just three further appearances in the 1984–85 season before being released in the summer.<ref>{{cite book|author=Tony Matthews|title=The Wolves Who's Who|year=2001|publisher=Britespot|location=West Midlands|isbn=1-904103-01-4}}</ref> In total, Bayly made a total of ten appearances in the Football League for Wolves.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.neilbrown.newcastlefans.com/wolves/wolves.html|title=WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS : 1946/47 – 2008/09|accessdate=29 October 2009|publisher=Post War English & Scottish Football League A–Z Player's Database}}</ref>
