==Biography== Dominiani made her debut on screen in the 1936 film ''Joe the Red'', dedicating herself also to variety shows and photo comics in the following decade.<ref name=book>{{cite book |date= 2003 |title= Le attrici: dal 1930 ai giorni nostri|trans-title= The actresses: from 1930 to the present day|url= |language=Italian |location=Rome |publisher= Gremese |isbn=888440214X}}</ref> In 1944, she was arrested and imprisoned, after being accused of having collaborated with the Nazis during the fascist regime but was released from prison because there was no evidence against her.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=uLbkUN8-3ngC&q=%22Maria+Dominiani%22+carcere|title="Notizie Nazioni Unite" Psychological Warfare Branch|date=13 October 1944|accessdate=17 August 2020}}</ref> In the 1950s, Dominiani dealt with organizing stage shows, and also played in minor roles in some films until 1961.<ref name=book />
