In January 2026, it was announced that FDMP had agreed to acquire the bulk of assets of California-based Del Monte Foods for approximately $285 million through a court-supervised sale under Section 363 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. However, the Florida-based company is not affiliated with Del Monte Pacific Limited and its subsidiaries Del Monte Foods in the United States and Del Monte Philippines, Del Monte Panamerican in Central America, or Del Monte Asia Pte Ltd which is a part of the Kikkoman Corporation.
