== Function ==
The protein encoded by this gene interacts with atrophin-1. Atrophin-1 contains a polyglutamine repeat, expansion of which is responsible for dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy. This encoded protein is characterized by two WW domains, a guanylate kinase-like domain, and multiple PDZ domains. It has structural similarity to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologue (MAGUK) family.<ref name="entrez"/>
==Interactions== MAGI2 has been shown to interact with ATN1<ref name=pmid9647693>{{cite journal |last=Wood |first=J D |author2=Yuan J |author3=Margolis R L |author4=Colomer V |author5=Duan K |author6=Kushi J |author7=Kaminsky Z |author8=Kleiderlein J J |author9=Sharp A H |author10=Ross C A |date=Jun 1998 |title=Atrophin-1, the DRPLA gene product, interacts with two families of WW domain-containing proteins |journal=Mol.
