==Biography== Mealey was born in San Diego, California on December 17, 1955, and grew up mainly in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in December 1984. She joined the faculty of the College of Saint Benedict in 1985 as an assistant professor, and became an associate professor there in 1991. ==Professional affiliations and awards== Mealey was a member of about 16 professional societies during her career.
