==Personal life and education == Born on 21 May 1946 in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen,<ref>{{cite web|url=http://bobedre.dk/profiler/lin-utzon-166164|title=Lin Utzon|publisher=Bo Bedre|accessdate=12 March 2017 |language=Danish}}</ref> Utzon spent her childhood in Hellebæk, Denmark. When she was 15, she moved with her family to Australia where her father, architect Jørn Utzon, was to embark on the construction of the Sydney Opera House.<ref name=berlingske/> After attending classes in painting and sculpture at East Sydney Technical College in Sydney, Australia (1967–1969), she studied textile arts at Copenhagen's School of Arts and Crafts (1967–1970).<ref name=kvinfo/>
