==Career==

===Rangers=== Hutton made his professional debut for Rangers in the opening Scottish Premier League match of the season against Kilmarnock on 14 August 2010, coming on for James Beattie.<ref>{{ Cite news | url=https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_prem/8909544.stm | title=Rangers 2–1 Kilmarnock | publisher=BBC Sport | date=14 August 2010 | first=Andy | last=Campbell}}</ref> He made his first start against Dunfermline Athletic on 21 September 2010. He picked up his first senior honour after coming on as an 82nd-minute substitute for Rangers in a 2–1 extra-time victory over Celtic in the 2011 Scottish League Cup final.<ref name="cup final">{{Cite news|url=https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/scot_cups/9428470.stm |title=Celtic 1–2 Rangers | publisher=BBC Sport | date=20 March 2011 |first=Andy |last=Campbell}}</ref> A fortnight before, Hutton had signed a new contract with Rangers, keeping him there until 2014.<ref name="new rangers contract">{{cite news|url=https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/9420482.stm|title=Hutton extends stay at Rangers|publisher=BBC Sport|date=9 March 2011}}</ref>

In October 2012, after returning from loan spells with Partick Thistle and Dunfermline Athletic, Hutton hoped his performances could see him feature more regularly for the first team.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/99783-kyle-hutton-wants-to-get-his-rangers-career-off-the-ground-after-loan/ | title=Kyle Hutton wants to get his Rangers career off the ground after loan | access-date=8 October 2012 | archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160303234028/http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/99783-kyle-hutton-wants-to-get-his-rangers-career-off-the-ground-after-loan/ | archive-date=3 March 2016 | url-status=dead }}</ref> Ahead of the 2012–13 season Hutton agreed to transfer to Charles Green's new holding company saying, "For me, it is in my best interests to stay where I am and to try to establish myself in the side next season. I feel I've got a lot more to give the club."<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9360046/Rangers-in-crisis-Kyle-Hutton-bucks-trend-by-committing-to-the-cause.html|title=Rangers in crisis: Kyle Hutton bucks trend by committing to the cause|date=27 June 2012 }}</ref> After starting in Rangers' first league game of the season against Brechin City in late July, Hutton wouldn't feature again till late September, coming on as a substitute in the League Cup against Motherwell for the injured Francisco Sandaza. His performance earned many plaudits, with Hutton saying afterwards he was 'in the dark' over why he hadn't featured more.<ref>{{cite web | url=https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-midfielder-kyle-hutton-hoping-1346683 | title=Rangers midfielder Kyle Hutton hoping 'frustrating' spell at Ibrox is over | date=27 September 2012 | access-date=8 October 2012}}</ref> In November 2013, Hutton suffered a broken leg, ruling him out of action on a long-term basis.<ref>{{Cite news|url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/25122639|title = Broken leg for Rangers' Hutton|publisher = BBC Sport}}</ref>

At the end of the 2014–15 season, Hutton was one of eleven players released by Rangers.<ref>{{cite web|title=Rangers news: Dave King pledges clearout as 11 players are released|url=https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/11661269/Rangers-news-Dave-King-pledges-clearout-as-11-players-are-released.html|work=The Telegraph|last=Forsyth|first=Roddy|date=8 June 2015|access-date=13 August 2015}}</ref>
