Karpowership and its parent company Karadeniz have faced corruption allegations in several countries. In Lebanon, Karadeniz is accused of corruption and faces a potential $25-million fine.<ref>{{cite web|author=Daily Sabah with Agencies|date=12 May 2021|title=Turkey's Karadeniz tells Beirut 'end court action or face power cut'|website=Daily Sabah |url=https://www.dailysabah.com/business/energy/turkeys-karadeniz-tells-beirut-end-court-action-or-face-power-cut|agency=Daily Sabah|access-date=5 October 2021}}</ref>

In Pakistan, a Karadeniz subsidiary allegedly paid middlemen to secure a $565 million government contract. The Supreme Court voided the contract in 2012 and launched a corruption investigation. It was resolved in 2019 through political negotiations between Pakistan and Turkey.<ref>{{cite web|author=Staff Writer|date=4 November 2019|title=Pakistan saved from paying $1.2bn penalty as Karkey dispute 'amicably' resolved: PM Imran|url=https://www.dawn.com/news/1514885/pakistan-saved-from-paying-12bn-penalty-as-karkey-dispute-amicably-resolved-pm-imran|agency=Dawn|access-date=5 October 2021}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|author=amaBhungane team|date=19 June 2021|title=Powership company trails corruption claims in its wake|url=https://www.news24.com/fin24/companies/powership-company-trails-corruption-claims-in-its-wake-20210618|agency=News24|access-date=5 October 2021}}</ref>--> == Lifeships == Lifeships are emergency aid vessels developed by Karadeniz Holding to provide both immediate relief and longer-term support to disaster-affected communities.
