This should not be confused with the similarly spelled Kalkeri village in Haveri district, about 20 kilometers southwest from Haveri, with two important Hoysala era temples – Someshwara temple (trikuta) and Basaveshwara temple (chaturkuta).<ref>{{cite book| author1=Madhusudan A.
