'''John Talen''' (born 18 January 1965) is a former [[road racing cyclist]] from the Netherlands, who was a professional from 1987 to 2000. As an amateur his most notable achievement came when he won the world title in the 100 km [[team time trial]], alongside [[Rob Harmeling]], [[Tom Cordes]] and [[Gerrit de Vries (cyclist)|Gerrit de Vries]], while also finishing second in the individual road race.<ref>{{cite web|title=Dutch Team Loses Cyclist, Wins Trial|url=https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1986-09-05-sp-13369-story.html|date=5 September 1986|work=[[Los Angeles Times]]|access-date=11 September 2009}}</ref>
