== Life == Power was educated at [[St John's College, Waterford]], and was ordained on 16 June 1832.<ref name=Canning>{{cite book | last=Canning | first= Bernard| author-link= | title= Bishops of Ireland 1870-1987| location= [[Ballyshannon]] | publisher= [[Donegal Democrat]]| pages=301| year=1988 | isbn= 1870963008}}</ref> He was the [[parish priest]] at [[Clonmel]] from 1866 to 1873 when he was ordained [[Coadjutor bishop|Coadjutor Bishop]] of [[Bishop of Waterford and Lismore|Waterford and Lismore]], with the right of succession.
