==Private life== His grandson [[Kyle Waddell|Kyle]] is a curler too, a {{WJCC|2013|2013 World Junior champion}} and a {{EuCC|2017|2017 European Championships silver medallist}}. Another grandson [[Craig Waddell|Craig]] is also a curler, and the brothers played together in the {{EuCC|2019|2019 European Championships}}.
