'''James Tackett Klein''' (July 31, 1937 – December 25, 2022) was an American politician in the state of Iowa.

==Biography== Klein was born in Alton, Iowa. He graduated from Alton Public High School in 1955 and received a B.A. from Buena Vista College in 1961.<ref name=":0" /> Following his college graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army Corps of Engineers and was honorably discharged in 1963.<ref name=":0" />

He served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1967 to 1971 as a Republican.<ref name=":0">{{cite web|url=https://www.legis.iowa.gov/legislators/legislator/legislatorAllYears?personID=500|title=State Representative|author=Iowa Legislative Services Agency|publisher=|accessdate=2 January 2015}}</ref> Between legislative sessions, he worked as a planning analyst for Walker Manufacturing Company.
