'''Royal Bavarian Jagdstaffel 80''', commonly abbreviated to '''Jasta 80''', was a "hunting group" (i.e., fighter squadron) of the ''[[Luftstreitkräfte]]'', the air arm of the [[Imperial German Army]] during [[World War I]]. The squadron scored 15 aerial victories during the war, [[balloon buster|including four observation balloons downed]]. ==History== Jasta 80 was founded on 19 October 1917 at ''Fliegerersatz-Abteilung'' ("Replacement Detachment") 2b at [[Fürth]]. It was assigned to ''[[19th Army (German Empire)|19 Armee]]'' on 27 February 1918. The new squadron scored its first aerial victory on 3 May 1918.
