'''Ivelet''' is a hamlet in the civil parish of Muker, in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, England, about a mile west of Gunnerside in Swaledale.

==Toponymy== The ''Survey of English Place-Names'' claims Ivelet derives from "Ifa's slope", similar to Ivinghoe.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://epns.nottingham.ac.uk/browse/North+Riding+of+Yorkshire/Grinton/53286b0ab47fc40bc600011c-Ivelet|title=Ivelet|work=Survey of English Place-Names|publisher=University of Nottingham|accessdate=19 February 2025}}</ref> However, it is also speculated the name may derive from "idhe" and "læghe" in Old Swedish, meaning "timber from yew" and "camp" respectively.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.diva-portal.org/smash/get/diva2:1572253/FULLTEXT02.pdf|title=Appendix 1|work=English Place-Names from a Scandinavian Perspective|publisher=Karlstad University|first=Martin|last=Kahnberg|date=2020|accessdate=19 February 2025|p=159}}</ref>
