'''Isfahan beryan''' ({{Lang|fa|بریان اصفهان}}) is one of the traditional dishes of Isfahan, Iran, fried meat served on a piece of bread (usually sangak) with onion and greens on the side.
Although most Iranians call it "Beryani", its correct name is "Beryan". Locals from Isfahan are aware of this distinction, while the term "Beryani" in fact refers to the restaurants or shops where Beryan is prepared and sold.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Beryan |url=https://www.persiaadvisor.com/about-persia/beryan/ |website=Persia Advisor |access-date=2026-05-29}}</ref> Therefore Beryan is cooked and sold in unique restaurants (Beryanis), and is not usually served along with other foods;<ref>{{Cite web|last=Staff|first=IFP Editorial|date=2017-10-13|title=Beryani; Special Meal of Iran’s Isfahan Province|url=https://ifpnews.com/beryani-special-meal-iran-isfahan|access-date=2020-12-19|website=Iran Front Page|language=En|archive-date=2020-12-11|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20201211071344/https://ifpnews.com/beryani-special-meal-iran-isfahan|url-status=live}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web|date=2019-03-09|title=Biryan Isfahan - Iranian Traditional Food|url=https://isfahaninfo.com/biryani-isfahan/|access-date=2020-12-19|website=Isfahan Tourist Information|language=en-US|archive-date=2020-12-19|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20201219135914/https://isfahaninfo.com/biryani-isfahan/|url-status=live}}</ref> locals call it "beryun" ({{Lang|fa|بریون}}).<ref>{{Cite web|date=2018-09-03|title=Beryan {{!}} Isfahan Local Food {{!}} TAP Persia|url=https://www.tappersia.com/beryani/|access-date=2020-12-19|website=TAPPersia|language=en-US|archive-date=2020-09-28|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200928203309/https://www.tappersia.com/beryani/|url-status=live}}</ref> 250px|thumb|Isfahan Biryan decorated with sliced almonds Jean-Baptiste Tavernier has written about this food in his own journal.
