Temnospondyl I.|last=Schoch|first=Rainer, R.|last2=Milner|first2=Andrew, R.|publisher=Dr. Friedrich Pfeil Verlag|year=2014|isbn=9783931516260|editor-last=Sues|editor-first=Hans-Dieter|location=Stuttgart|oclc=580976}}</ref> It was described by Gubin (1980) on the basis of a fragmentary posterior skull.<ref>{{Cite journal|last=Gubin|first=Yuri|date=1980|title=New Permian dissorophids of the Ural forelands|journal=Paleontologicheskii Zhurnal|volume=1980|pages=82–90}}</ref> It is estimated to have been comparably large to ''Kamacops'', another Russian dissorophid, but little more can be said about it, and it is rarely mentioned in comparative descriptions and has never been tested in a phylogenetic analysis. Distinguishing features include a large, triangular otic notch and a median crest on the postparietals.<ref name=":0" />
