In May 1990 he returned to Dynamo Astrakhan, where he won the Soviet Championship in 1990, and came second in 1991. In the 1990-91 EHF Cup the team reached the semi final.

In 1996 he joined ES Besançon in the second tier.<ref name=bhc /> In 1999 he joined Girondins de Bordeaux HBC in the top division.<ref name=thw />

After two years he joined Perpignan Handball in the third tier.<ref name=bhc /> His last club was TV Willstädt in the 2nd Bundesliga.<ref name=bhc />
In the spring of 2007 he came out of retirement and joined Bergischer HC in the 2nd Bundesliga to replace the injured Ivan Zoubkoff.<ref name=bhc />
