'''INS ''Trikand'' (F51)''' ({{Lit|Triple Arrow}}) is a {{sclass|Talwar|frigate}} of the Indian Navy.<ref>{{cite web | url=http://www.indiannavy.nic.in/naval-fleet/ships?page=0%2C2 | title=Surface Ships – Frigates | publisher=Indian Navy}}</ref> She is the third and final ship of the second batch of ''Talwar''-class frigates ordered by the Indian Navy. She was built by the Yantar shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia. She was commissioned to Indian Navy service on 29 June 2013.

==Design== {{Main|Talwar-class frigate}}

''Trikand'' belongs to the {{sclass|Talwar|frigate|4}} of guided missile frigates. These are modified Krivak III-class frigates built by Russia. These ships use stealth technologies and a special hull design to ensure a reduced radar cross section.<ref>{{cite news | url=https://www.indiannavy.nic.in/content/shivalik-class-talwar-class-kamorta-class | title =Shivalik Class, Talwar Class, Kamorta Class | publisher = Indian Navy | location = New Delhi | access-date =31 July 2021 }}</ref><ref>{{cite news | url =http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/NAVY/ships/active/180-talwar-class.html | title =Talwar (Krivak III) Class | website =Bharat Rakshak | access-date =31 July 2021 | archive-date =8 June 2011 | archive-url =https://web.archive.org/web/20110608195253/http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/NAVY/Ships/Active/180-Talwar-Class.html }}</ref> Much of the equipment on the ship is Russian-made, but a significant number of systems of Indian origin have also been incorporated. The main difference between the second batch and the first three ''Talwar''-class ships is the use of BrahMos missiles in place of the Klub-N missiles in the earlier ships. She is the last of the three frigates built in Russia as a follow-up order to the first batch of Talwar-class frigates.{{cn|date=April 2023}}
