Originally, the company built and developed its own shopping centres, this changed in 2020 when they acquired a building in San Francisco and the Kings Mall in Hammersmith, the latter was rebranded under the Livat brand, making this the first centre outside of China to adopt the name. INGKA Centres announced in December 2021 that it would open two malls, anchored by IKEA stores, in Gurugram and Noida in India at a cost of around {{INRConvert|9000|c}}.
