== History== The first mention of the village is in the studies of the Polish historian and ethnographer Jabłonowski <ref>Jabłonowski {{in lang|pl}}</ref> in 1589.<ref>Гребенів {{in lang|uk}}</ref> Archaeological remains weapons, and other artifacts from the 11th-12th centuries have been discovered by archaeologists in the area.<br/>
Known as a resort village, during Soviet times Hrebeniv was part of the Slavske district.<ref name=ency/> Until 18 July 2020, Hrebeniv belonged to Skole Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Lviv Oblast to seven.
