== History == During the Russian Empire, the village of Horadiz was part of the Jebrail Uyezd of Elisabethpol Governorate. Horadiz was designated as an urban-type settlement on 24 September 1947.<ref>{{cite book |title=Азербайджанская ССР. Административно-территориальное деление на 1 января 1977 года |date=1979 |location=Baku |page=10 |edition=4}}</ref> It had a population of 5,689 people according to the 1989 Soviet census.

During the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, the village was the scene of fierce fighting.
