It is composed of seven villages: Arșița (''Ársica''), Bicașu (''Bikás''), Dubiștea de Pădure (''Erdődubiste''), Hodac, Mirigioaia (''Mirigalja''), Toaca (''Toka''), and Uricea (''Uricse'').
The commune lies on the banks of the Gurghiu River.
