Henry Hearsey

Hearsey was born in Zomba, Nyasaland (now Malawi), to Lt.-Col. Herbert Hyde Young Hearsey, the Principal Medical Officer of Nyasaland, and Maggie Marie Beales. His great uncle was Lieutenant-General Sir John Bennet Hearsey.<ref>{{cite news |title= Obituary: Lt.-Col. H. H. Y. After curacies in West Southbourne and Bournemouth, he was a Chaplain to the Forces from 1940<ref>[https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/34992/page/6561/data.pdf London Gazette]</ref> to 1949: he was mentioned in despatches in 1945. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 1964 New Year Honours.<ref>{{London Gazette |date=31 December 1963 |issue= 43200| page= 20|endpage= |supp=y}}</ref>
