== Early life and education ==
Hardeep Pandhal was born in an Indian family in 1985 in Birmingham. Pandhal's first language is English while his mother speaks Punjabi,<ref>{{Cite web|title=Hardeep Pandhal 'Liar Hydrant'|url=https://www.cubittartists.org.uk/hardeep-pandhal-liar-hydrant|access-date=2021-01-29|website=Cubitt Artists|language=en}}</ref>{{Failed verification|date=September 2021|reason=source doesn't mention mother}} preventing them from being able to communicate verbally with each other. Despite this his parents have supported his work and he has worked with his mother on several projects.
