'''Hampton Bishop''' is a village and civil parish south-east of Hereford, in Herefordshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 505.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.neighbourhood.statistics.gov.uk/dissemination/LeadKeyFigures.do?a=7&b=11124177&c=HR1+1AX&d=16&e=62&g=6385731&i=1001x1003x1032x1004&m=0&r=0&s=1446029748884&enc=1|title=Civil Parish population 2011|accessdate=28 October 2015}}</ref> The village itself is on a wedge between the River Wye and the River Lugg, not far from where the River Frome meets the Lugg.

The half-timbered 12th-century Anglican parish church is dedicated to St Andrew and is a Grade I listed building.<ref>{{cite web| url = http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-154934-church-of-st-andrew-hampton-bishop-|title= Church of St Andrew, Hampton Bishop|publisher= British Listed Buildings|accessdate = 29 January 2014}}</ref>

The local pub, the "Bunch of Carrots", is located in the centre of the village, on the B4224 road, next to a meander in the River Wye. According to David Rothwell's ''The Dictionary of Pub Names'', the name is derived from a rock formation on the river, visible when the water level is low.<ref>{{cite web |url= https://www.telegraph.co.uk/expat/expatpicturegalleries/8878535/Britains-strangest-pub-names.html?image=7 |title=Britain's strangest pub names |author= |publisher=The Daily Telegraph |year=2014 |accessdate=29 January 2014}}</ref>

A pair of European bee-eaters made a nesting attempt here in 2005 (see Bee-eaters in Britain).<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.birdguides.com/webzine/article.asp?a=552|title=Articles: Breeding Bee-eaters in Herefordshire|website=www.birdguides.com|accessdate=30 June 2017}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=https://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/hereford/worcs/4724437.stm|title=BBC NEWS - UK - England - Hereford/Worcs - Twitchers flock to see bee-eaters|website=news.bbc.co.uk|access-date=30 June 2017}}</ref>
