== Early life and education == Fowler was raised in Albany, Georgia, with seven siblings. == Career == Fowler was associate provost and dean of liberal arts at Western Governors University. He served as chief academic officer and vice president for academic affairs at Hesser College in New Hampshire. For nine years, Fowler worked at Southern New Hampshire University in different roles, including chief academic officer and vice president of academic affairs. He was promoted to president of its global campus in September 2018.
