Goonbell is located east of the now defunct St Agnes railway station,<ref>Ordnance Survey ''One-inch Map of Great Britain; Truro and Falmouth, sheet 190''. 1961</ref> a stop on the Truro and Newquay Railway. Goonbell itself had a halt on the same line.
