Gidon Graetz

He studied in the mid-1950s at Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence and at Les Beaux-Arts in Paris.<ref name=bio/>

==Life and career== Graetz was born on 29 November 1929.<ref name="bio">Several, Michael, (December 1998). {{usurped|1=[https://archive.today/20060112103224/http://www.publicartinla.com/Downtown/YMCA/graetz_bio.html Gidon Graetz Biographical Information]}}</ref> His public art sculptures are found widespread in cities such as Zurich, Detroit, New York City, Los Angeles, Brisbane, Chicago and Berlin, and has exhibited work in Europe, Australia and the United States.

Settled in a castle in Fiesole overlooking Florence in Tuscany,<ref name=amart>{{cite journal|journal= American Artist |volume = 37|author1=Watson, Ernest William |author2=Guptill, Arthur Leighton |title= Gidon Graetz: The Birth of a Statue |year= 1973 |pages= 30–31 |publisher= Watson-Guptill Publications |url= https://books.google.com/books?id=sGY9AAAAMAAJ&q=%22Gidon+Graetz%22 }}</ref> Graetz was married to Sunniva Rasmussen, and among their four children is the Tuscan winemaker Bibi Graetz.
