== Background and development ==

In a press conference, ShowBT CEO Robin Geong discussed to inform the media for what's in store for SB19 in 2020. One of the events that was scheduled was the group's debut album release.<ref>{{Cite web|date=2020-02-10|title=Here's What You Can Expect From SB19 This 2020|url=https://www.wheninmanila.com/what-to-expect-from-sb19-this-2020/|access-date=2020-12-08|website=When In Manila|language=en-US}}</ref> The music production for SB19's first full album has come to completion and was originally planned to be released in March 2020. Most of the songs were written before the release of "Go Up", but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they need to find time when to drop it.<ref>{{Cite web|title=SB19's debut album is a story of their inspiring journey|url=https://www.rappler.com/entertainment/music/sb19-debut-album-journey-story/|access-date=September 29, 2020|website=Rappler|date=July 30, 2020 |language=en}}</ref>

The album is an incorporation of all the things that the group has experienced during their trainee days which they "put all the emotions that they went through into their music" and hoped that they got to inspire people with their story.<ref name = "rappler">{{Cite web|date=July 31, 2020|title=This is the day: SB19 finally drops debut album 'Get in the Zone'|url=https://mb.com.ph/2020/07/31/this-is-the-day-sb19-finally-drops-debut-album-get-in-the-zone/|access-date=September 30, 2020|website=Manila Bulletin|language=en-US}}</ref> Lyrically, the album speaks of the creative and personal journey of the group which reflected on the different emotions showed in the tracks—happiness, hopefulness, inspiration, sadness, and sorrow.<ref>{{Cite web|title=SB19 to release first full album 'Get in the Zone' on July 31|url=https://www.cnnphilippines.com/life/entertainment/Music/2020/7/22/sb19-album-release.html|access-date=September 29, 2020|website=cnn|language=en|archive-date=September 30, 2020|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20200930165330/https://cnnphilippines.com/life/entertainment/Music/2020/7/22/sb19-album-release.html|url-status=dead}}</ref> The members of the group were involved in the process of making the album, collaborating with their producers in South Korea, through their agency ShowBT. Pablo was credited for writing the lyrics of all the tracks in the album.
