==History== In the spring of 1975, Garretson Wade Chinn mailed the first Garrett Wade<ref name="GW HOME">{{Cite web|url=https://garrettwade.com/|title=Garrett Wade|website=Garrett Wade}}</ref> catalog. It contained primarily woodworking tools sourced from around the world, with particular focus on Europe. The goal of the catalog, along with media like Fine Woodworking Magazine, was to reconnect men to the experience of using their hands, as they had done in shop class as boys. In 1995, responding to decreasing demand for woodworking tools, the company expanded its product line to hand tools for homeowners,<ref name="NY Times 3">{{Cite web|url=https://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/05/garden/05shop.html|title=As the Thermometer Falls, ‘Man Cave’ Décor Is Warming Up|first=Tim|last=McKeough|date=November 2, 2009|via=NYTimes.com}}</ref> with particular focus on gardening and outdoor tools. Recently, Garrett Wade also began researching, developing and manufacturing tools in-house.<ref name="COOLMAT">{{Cite web|url=https://coolmaterial.com/gear/garrett-wade-edc-multi-tool-capsule/|title=Garrett Wade EDC Multi-Tool Capsule | Cool Material|date=March 19, 2017|website=coolmaterial.com}}</ref><ref name="AWESOMER">{{Cite web|url=https://theawesomer.com/brass-capsule-multi-tool/416226/|title=Brass Capsule Multi-Tool|first=Paul|last=Strauss|date=March 15, 2017}}</ref>
