'''Franco Pisano''' (10 December 1922 – 6 January 1977) was an Italian composer, conductor, arranger, and jazz musician. Born in [[Cagliari]], [[Sardinia]], the older brother of the composer [[Berto Pisano]], he studied violin, classical guitar, and piano at the Conservatory of Cagliari.<ref name=bio>{{cite news|title=Morto Franco Pisano l'autore di "Evelyn"|work=[[La Stampa]]|issue=5|date=7 January 1977}}</ref> He started his career as a musician with his brother in the jazz group Asternovas.<ref name=bio /><ref name="serreli">{{cite book|last1=Serreli|first1=Giacomo|title=Boghes e sonos : quarant'anni di musica extracolta in Sardegna : dal beat al pop, dal jazz all'etnorock, 1960-2003|date=2003|publisher=Scuola sarda|location=Cagliari|isbn=8887758034|edition=1}}</ref> Later in his career he concentrated on composing pop songs and musical scores for films and television programs.<ref name=bio /> He died of liver cancer at the age of 54.<ref name=bio />
