The bridge crosses the Foldereidsundet strait which is part of the inner-[[Folda, Trøndelag|Folda]]fjord. The bridge is {{convert|336|m}} long, the main span is {{convert|225|m}}, and the maximum clearance below the bridge {{convert|38|m}}. At the northern end of the bridge, the road enters a {{convert|230|m|adj=on}} long tunnel through a mountain before entering the village of [[Foldereid]].
