Florida Suite

{{Use dmy dates|date=April 2022}} {{italic title}} The '''''Florida Suite''''' is an orchestral suite by English composer Frederick Delius. He composed the work in 1887 at Leipzig, after his time as manager of an orange grove in Florida, inspired by its landscape and culture, mainly centred on the St. Johns River. During this time, Delius also studied music with an organist in Jacksonville.<ref>{{cite journal | last=Kohen | first=Helen L. | title=Perfume, Postcards, and Promises: The Orange in Art and Industry | journal=The Journal of Decorative and Propaganda Arts | volume=23 | pages=33–47 | year=1998 | doi=10.2307/1504162 | jstor=1504162}}</ref> This suite is one of the composer's more popular works. The suite was first published in 1963.
