==Career== McCreath represented Scotland at under 15, 17 and 19 levels.<ref name=wisden>{{cite web|url=https://www.wisden.com/cricket-news/26-year-old-finlay-mccreath-with-no-professional-experience-slams-century-on-list-a-debut-for-scotland|title=26-year-old batter with no professional experience slams century on List A debut for Scotland|publisher=Wisden|accessdate=26 April 2025}}</ref> He made his debut for Scotland A in 2018 and a year later played four matches for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club second XI.<ref name=wisden/>

On 24 April 2025, McCreath made his List A debut for Scotland A against Zimbabwe A in the first of a three match series at the Harare Sports Club.<ref name=wisden/> Batting at number four, he scored 100 off 110 balls to help his team to a four-wicket win.<ref name=wisden/>
