==Design and development== The Express Series 90 is a development of the earlier Wheeler Express designed by Ken Wheeler. It incorporates a 20% larger tail which gives it a wider center of gravity range, while also enhancing pitch and yaw stability.<ref name="Aerocrafter" />

The aircraft features a cantilever low-wing, a four-seat enclosed cabin, fixed tricycle landing gear with wheel pants and a single engine in tractor configuration.<ref name="Aerocrafter" />

The Series 90 is made from composites. Its {{convert|31.00|ft|m|1|abbr=on}} span wing mounts flaps and has a wing area of {{convert|130.00|sqft|m2|abbr=on}}. The cabin width is {{convert|46|in|cm|abbr=on}}. The standard engine used is the {{convert|300|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Lycoming IO-540 four stroke, air-cooled, six cylinder powerplant.<ref name="Aerocrafter" />

The aircraft has a typical empty weight of {{convert|1840|lb|kg|abbr=on}} and a gross weight of {{convert|3200|lb|kg|abbr=on}}, giving a useful load of {{convert|1360|lb|kg|abbr=on}}.
